Badge holder
When a valid RFID key is inserted into the reader, the room and climate control is activated.
Access reader
By approaching a valid RFID key to the reader, the door is unlocked to leave the guest entering its room. Keypads for entering a PIN are also available.
Electric strife or electric lock
Electro-mechanical component that unlocks the door. It is normally driven by the RFID key reader inside the room.
HVAC
Giano is able to handle more climate zones, by driving one or more fancoils (2/4 pipes, 3 on/off speeds or 0-10VDC), centralized split, on/off splits and radiators.
Ventilation
The fanspeed is automatically driven to reach the desired set-point temperature. When the room is empty the fanspeed is reduced to keep the noise low.
Window opening
When a window is open it could be trigger the climate control standby and - in case of empty room - an unauthorized access. Giano is able to detect a window left open when the guest leave its room, and automatically report it to the staff.
Thermostat with temperature sensor
This device is used to let the guest chose its comfort temperature and max fanspeed. The system automatically suspend the climate control in case of window or door opening and the guest leaves its room. Giano could also limit the setpoint and fanspeed, if needed.
Main light
Giano could drive light spots and scenarios. For example it could turn on the courtesy light when the guest enters its room and turn it off while tuning the main light on when the guest inserts its RFID key into the badge holder.

When a door is open without a valid RFID key the system triggers an unauthorized access. Giano is able to detect a door left open when the guest leave its room, and automatically report it to the staff.
SOS alarm
The inputs of the system could be configured to many alarm types. When an alarm is detected it is automatically reported to the staff and the event could be reported locally with visual or acoustic signals. The reset of the alarm could be performed using the software or by an authorized staff inside the room.
Flood alarm
The inputs of the system could be configured to many alarm types. Mini-bar
Giano could handle the activation of mini-bar (by turning it off when the room is in check-out), the opening (by logging when the guest uses it) and the refurnishment by the service staff.
Safe
Giano could activate more services while the guest is into the room. For example it could enable the safe unlock only when guest or director are inside the room.
H24 Access
The guest could arrive and enter the hotel and its room only by using an app into its smartphone, an SMS or a PIN.
