Why compromise between aesthetics and functionality? GFP Lab, an italian company specialized in Hotel automation, presents Sensedoor the access control system designed to protect the door's look.
Sensedoor requires no preparation or masonry because it installs easily on the door frame.
The versatility of Sensedoor allows it to adapt to all possible scenarios, from standalone access control, room activation and thermoregulation, to full integration with Giano, the online supervision system of GFP Lab.

Introduction & demostration
Convenience first of all
Sensedoor is three times convenient.
It's 100% made-in-italy, is not afraid of comparisons thanks to the incomparable value for money.
Sensedoor drastically reduces installation costs and downtime normally required for the implementation of an access control system.
Finally, Sensedoor helps reducing the structure costs by optimizing utilities, lighting and thermoregulation, ensuring the highest level of Guest comfort and maximum energy savings to the Owner.
Sensedoor is an innovative solution designed to enable and control access to rooms and common areas of facilities. Its peculiarity lies in being able to install in the door jamb (SD-F version, front) or behind the door frame (SD-S version, retractable) without the need for special arrangements or masonry.
This allows you to reset the downtime normally required for the installation of a traditional building automation system. Sensedoor is therefore the ideal solution for facilities that already exist but are not yet under renovation (retrofit).
Sensedoor also produces the most advanced energy-saving products typical of hotel automation, distinguished by the ability to adapt to the diverse system requirements, providing maximum flexibility in terms of modularity and scalability of the solution.
Behavior
Access to the room is guaranteed by Door Reader, or the sensitive area located on the outer side of the door frame to detect the approach of a chipcard duly authorized.
After the doors are unlocked, the ignition of a light shower accompanies the guest when accessing the room. In the frame of the jamb on the inside of the room, there is the Badge Holder, or a multifunction clips from the exclusive design and extremely compact, which invites the visitor, with pleasing light signals, to insert the chipcard to enable the room during his stay.
The Badge Holder has a touch button to help the guest enabling "do not disturb" mode and staff, depending on the level of its chipcard, performing the required service (reset alarms, room cleaning, etc.). The Badge Holder also incorporates a buzzer that emits sound signals in the event of a certain relevance (alarms, etc.).
Both Door Reader that Badge Holder have a customizable multi-color LED lighting, which can tell the different states of the room to the staff and the guest.
Connections
Sensedoor has an output intended to drive an electric lock, two relay outputs that can be configured (typically used to manage the main light and courtesy light) and one input that is also configurable (typically used as a courtesy light button).
Sensedoor can communicate with other devices via a dedicated bus 485 or via wireless (radio protocol IEEE 802.15.4), and can be integrated with Giano, the centralized supervision system developed by GFP Lab. SenseDoor can also communicate with wireless or battery-free sensors based on EnOcean ® technology.
Through an adapter equipped with both radio and wired interface you can independently execute on Sensedoor all the service operations for its installation (configuration, firmware upgrade), and subsequent maintenance (download logs, setting parameters, setting time, etc. ...).
Functions
Chipcard technology: RFID (Mifare) / NFC

1 on/off input (free contact)
Bus RS-485
Service Port
Radio transceiver (IEEE 802.15.4)
Door external reader (Door Reader):
Proximity sensor (Chipcard proximity)
Led RGB for multicolored visual signals (do not disturb, room occupied, door unlocked, alarm)
Multifunctional clip (Badge Holder):
Led RGB for multicolored visual signals
Buzzer for acoustic signaling
Touch button (activation of "do not disturb" mode, alarm reset, room reset)
Versions
SD-F - SenseDoor Front mount
This version is installed inside the door frame, obtained through a milling similar to that required for the installation of the electric strike.
This assembly is suitable for those wishing to adopt an automated system during the installation of new doors (traditional scenario).
Assembly
Scheme
SD-S - SenseDoor Retractable assembly
This version is installed behind the door frame, housed in a small space between the wall and the counter-door frame.
This assembly is suitable for those wishing to adopt an automated system but made no action in any way on the door jamb (retrofit scenario).
